Andy Curtis - Bsc (Hons) MCSP, HPC, MAACP, MSOM Andy Curtis - BPC - Specialists in Sports Injuries, Back, Neck and joint pain.  Covering Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne and surrounding areas

Andy's background lies in professional sport. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist he had a short career as a professional rugby player with the premiership team at Bristol. Injury troubles cut his playing career short leading him to train as a physiotherapist in London. As a physiotherapist his experience of high level sport and training has enhanced the level of management received by his patients. Andy also has experience of working within the League One professional football team Leyton Orient, and currently works closely with local sports clubs. Along with sports injuries Andy also focuses his physiotherapy interests on the management of spinal complaints. He has great success treating all types of back pain from chronic posture related pain to whiplash following car accidents.

 

Helen Curtis - Bsc (Hons) MCSP, HPC, MAACP

Helen is our neurological and orthopeadic specialist. She gained a wide variety of skills while working in the large London Hospitals and currently balances private work with an ongoing NHS presence here in Dorset. Helen has great success in rehabilitating patients following neurological deficits (stroke, polio,parkinsons) and orthopaedic procedures such as hip and knee replacements. Helen works closely with older patients in the community and is available for assesment and treatment sessions in your own home. Helen is also a fully practising acupuncturist, using acupuncture as a valuable adjunct to her physiotherapy treatments.

Stephen Trapp- BSc (Hons) MCSP, HPC

As another of our chartered physiotherapists Stephen has a passion for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. He spends his time working at the clinic treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and also spends time rehabilitating clients at the Bournemouth Multiple Sclerosis Society. Stephen has a background in sport and in his teenage years competed at an international level in tennis. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit, socialising with friends and completing further studies.

Rianne van Vugt - B MCSP HPC OCPPP

Being Dutch of origin, Rianne worked a decade in her home country and in Switzerland before she moved to England. There she has worked in the private sector ever since. Rianne has a long standing experience in working with patients in a broad spectrum of musculo skeletal problems, back and neck injuries and sports injuries. She is an active league badminton player and enjoyes skiing. In her spare time she loves riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle together with her husband.

Nycky Edleston - BSc(Hons), MCSP, HPC

After a previous career in the IT industry, Nycky trained as a physiotherapist with special interest in elderly rehabilitation, neuro and learning disability adults. Nycky provides physiotherapy three days a week at the Bournemouth Multiple Sclerosis Society. When she is not working, she rides horses and finds time to do further studies.
